- Had a usr Sportster 28.8 external for 3 weeks under win95and could not
- get it to work properly as a fax using MS Fax or WinFax 7. Connecting
- to my isp 95% of the time 26.4.
-
- Got tired of it and tried a microcom deskporte 28.8P in win95. No
- problems connecting, 95% of the time at 28.8. As a fax, no problem
- either. Win95 detected the deskporte and installed its own
- drivers/init strings and I could hear my dial tone/signals very well
- but very faint audible signals when my isp answers. Also 60% of the
- time the deskporte could not identify a busy signal and would just
- hang there. Have to press cancel to reset it. Added _AT&F1_ to
- "Extra Settings" (which I picked up here from one of the threads on
- usr problems) and -------- all is fine. Can hear isp's signals as
- strong as my own and doesn't hang anymore.
